Intro
A computer is a minimalist’s best friend.
My name is Simon, and you’re listening to minimal 1, minimalism + simplicity

Main
Many of us, especially those who are younger, have little appreciation for just how much a computer has replaced. And by computer, I’m referring to your laptop, desktop, phone, tablet, all of it... Just think about all of the things you do on them that used to require separate physical objects. Messages and email used to be handwritten notes and letters, for each message… and they would need to be physically sent, requiring days or weeks to receive a response. In order to send each message, you would need to always have paper and pens available. And those boxes of paper are no joke, have fun carrying those around. Do you even know what a stamp is? Sending mail wasn’t free...

While basic communication is what we focused on for now, there are so many other examples of how technology has reduced the dependency on physical objects to complete basic tasks. More of which I’ll cover on future episodes.
