Welcome to Minimal 1, a podcast about minimalism and simplicity. My name is Simon, and today, do you need to own everything you like? Let’s go!

Main
So, my girlfriend and I are moving into a new apartment that’s closer to her new job, though it happens to be smaller. We’ve come to realize that we don’t even use our desks as we just work from the kitchen island, which our new place will have as well. So, rather than trying to jam our desks into the new apartment, we’re selling them. It’s tough because I had bought my industrial-style desk several years ago and I planned on keeping it forever. I guess you can say it was my dream desk. I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not I should sell it, since I’ll get less than half of what I paid for it. But I came to a realization, I don’t need to own everything that I like. I like trains, that doesn’t mean that I need to own a railroad. So I like industrial desks, great. Good for me.
