Welcome to Minimal 1, a podcast about minimalism and simplicity. My name is Simon, and today we might not take free stuff. Let’s go!

As a kid, my best friend’s dad was known for saying, “if it’s free it’s for me!” I’ve always liked that phrase. I mean, who doesn’t like free stuff? If someone is offering me free pizza, I’ll be the first one in line. But what if the free food is bad for you? Other than pizza, don’t judge... Or what if someone is giving away free branded shirts that you never plan on wearing? Your taking it in the first place will only encourage the behavior of giving away free stuff you don’t care for, which is quite wasteful, unless you think someone else wants it. Though, I always take the free pizza, because I want to encourage that behavior...
